2008/2009 AMERICAN CREW “FACE OFF” WINNERS ANNOUNCED
Australia’s top hair stylists and fashion identities celebrated at the prestigious 2008/2009 American Crew Face Off winners’ announcement at Tonic Bar, Crown Promenade on Monday (2 February).
GQ editor, Nick Smith, presented the coveted awards, which are now in their fifth year. The success of this competition and excitement surrounding the event is unrivalled and resulted in a record number of entries from salons across Australia this year.
The American Crew Face Off competition was introduced to help support the emergence and importance of the male grooming industry, by providing Australian hairdressers with an opportunity to demonstrate their talents by creating a male hair style, capturing it in timeless black and white photography and rewarding the top performers with incredible money-can’t –buy career development opportunities.
The competition was judged by American Crew founder, David Raccuglia, in an extensive judging process that commenced in mid 2008 and saw over 800 entries gradually narrowed to twenty finalists and three overall winners.
Stephen Foyle was again a winner for this 2008/2009 competition. This is the second time he has won this prestigious award.
Each winner receives an amazing trip to Los Angeles in May to take part in their very own American Crew photo shoot with Raccuglia, staying at the super exclusive celebrity haunt, Chateau Marmont.
Once again, American Crew has proved itself an industry leader with Australia’s most innovative hair styling competition for men.
